MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) advised motorists to expect traffic gridlocks in some parts of Quezon City and Mandaluyong as the Department of Public Works and Highways pushes through with road repairs starting tonight.
In an advisory, the MMDA said the road repairs and reblocking will start at 10 p.m.
Among the repair projects on southbound lanes are on Araneta Avenue from Calamba street to Quezon Avenue, second lane; E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue / C-5 Road between Mercury Avenue and Richmond Avenue, second lane; EDSA between Connecticut and Libertad, Mandaluyong City; C-5 Road from CJ Caparas street to Lanuza streeet, outermost lane; and Mindanao Avenue from Old Sauyo Road to Rosal street, third lane.
The repair projects on northbound lanes are along EDSA between Temple Drive and United street, Mandaluyong City; and on the third lane of C.P. Garcia Avenue in Quezon City.
There will also be a repair project on Congressional Avenue’s westbound lane from April street to Ayshire street.
The MMDA said the repair projects are expected to be completed by 5 a.m. on Monday.
