Alleged pusher shot dead in Tondo

MANILA, Philippines - An alleged drug pusher was shot dead in Tondo, Manila Tuesday night after he failed to remit his sales, police said yesterday.

Francisco Allita, 33, died while being treated at the Gat Andres Bonifacio Hospital.

Police are tracking down his neighbor Winifredo Vegas, who is said to be the supplier of illegal drugs in the area.

Detective Rodelio Lingcong of the Manila Police District homicide section said the victim and his brother were digging a hole in preparation for the renovation of their house at around 8:40 p.m. when the suspect arrived and confronted him for failing to remit the drug money.

Vegas escaped after the incident.
