3 get life terms for drugs

MANILA, Philippines - A Makati judge has sentenced three drug dealers to life imprisonment.

In separate decisions, Judge Gina Bibat-Palamos of the Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 64 found Francis Halipa, Rogelio Alvarado and Arnel Ambrosio guilty of drug trafficking.

The court ordered them to pay a fine of P900,000 each.

The three were arrested in stings conducted by the Makati Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) and the Makati police’s station anti-illegal drug special operations task group last year.
