PDEA seizes P.7-M shabu bound for Israel

Reinir Padua - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has confiscated P700,000 worth of shabu stuffed into a miniature figurine and bound for Israel, officials said yesterday.

PDEA chief Arturo Cacdac Jr. said they were working to verify the identities of the consignee and sender of the package bound for Tel Aviv, Israel from Laguna.

PDEA operatives intercepted the package containing some 140 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride last Wednesday, Cacdac said.

He said the illegal drugs were placed in plastic sachets and hidden in a miniature figurine.

A PDEA team intercepted the package after receiving a phone call from the office of a local courier express service, informing them of a parcel containing suspected illegal drugs.
