MANILA, Philippines - An estimated P2 million worth of properties were gutted by flames that hit a rubber warehouse in Quezon City yesterday morning.
City fire marshal Superintendent Jesus Fernandez said the flames broke out at past 11 a.m. at NSR Rubber Corp. along Mendez Road in Barangay Baesa.
Fernandez said the flames started at the laboratory area of the warehouse. He said the flames spread quickly, forcing them to raise the alarm to Task Force Charlie by around 12:20 p.m.
He said three firefighters had to be brought to Quezon City General Hospital after suffering from suffocation.
Fernandez said firefighters had the incident under control by a little past 1 p.m.
