CIDG to track down Roldan’s co-accused
MANILA, Philippines - The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) will form a team to track down a co-accused of actor and former Quezon City congressman Dennis Roldan in the kidnapping of a three-year-old Filipino-Chinese boy in Pasig in 2005.
Senior Superintendent Rudy Lacadin, CIDG deputy chief for operations, said they would wait for a copy of the warrant for the arrest of Suzette Wang, Roldan’s fellow mastermind in kidnapping Kenshi Yu on Feb. 9, 2005.
“The CIDG is preparing a team to look for her once we receive a copy of a warrant for her arrest,” Lacadin said.
Roldan, Mitchell Gumabao in real life, was sentenced along with Rowena San Andres and Adrian Domingo to life imprisonment by Pasig Judge Rolando Mislang.
The court ordered them to pay the family of Yu P300,000 in damages.
“With regard to accused Wang, let the case against her be archived pending her apprehension,” the court decision read.
The Philippine National Police considered Roldan’s conviction as its latest victory against kidnapping.
