MANILA, Philippines - Restrooms at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 (NAIA-2) are undergoing rehabilitation as part of the toilet facilities improvement project of the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC), the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said yesterday.
With the repair of 16 restrooms at the passengers’ area, certain restrooms have been reserved for departing passengers only.
The MIAA, which runs NAIA, directed the airports’ tenants and concessionaires to use the restrooms designated for them.
The rehabilitation is apart from the ongoing repair of the air conditioning system at NAIA-2, which is set for completion by the end of this month. NAIA-2 has seven chillers, four of them under repair.
The MIAA said 21 10-tonner package type air conditioners are set for installation. Of this number, nine will be installed by the end of this month.
