Woman, daughter perform in cyber porn shows

MANILA, Philippines - A 10-year-old girl was rescued from her mother, who made the girl perform in cyber porn shows for foreign clients, by National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents in a raid on their house in Tipas, Taguig yesterday.

The girl’s mother, 37, was arrested right after the girl took off her clothes in front of a web camera monitored by NBI and United States Homeland Security agents.

In an interview with The STAR, the woman admitted to setting up cyber porn shows, as well as performing in them, for the past two years. She said her customers are mostly from the US, Singapore and Hong Kong.

“I know what I did is wrong but I needed money. I want my family to eat delicious food,” she said.

The woman said her clients’ preferences vary, but most want girls. She said she once performed for a client who wanted a lactating woman.

Abdul Jamal Dimaporo, of the NBI’s Anti-Human Trafficking Division, said the woman’s clients pay $30 to $200 per transaction. Dimaporo led the team who arrested the woman.

He said the team worked on the case for more than three months. “She would not add us to her friends on Facebook because we were not Americans. We could not catch her,” Dimaporo said.

When asked what the woman wanted for a Facebook friend, Dimaporo said “you have to look like a pervert.”

When the woman finally added and agreed to chat with the undercover agents, Dimaporo’s team launched the entrapment operation. She faces multiple criminal charges, including violating the cybercrime law, he said.
