Man arrested for raping, impregnating teen daughter

MANILA, Philippines - A 19-year-old woman sent her father to jail yesterday for allegedly raping her for three years and impregnating her twice.

“I can’t take it anymore. He impregnated me twice and beats me up” out of jealousy, the woman said.

The woman said her father started raping her when she was 16, the same year she became pregnant and gave birth to a boy. She is now eight months pregnant.

The woman said she sought the help of barangay watchman Gilbert dela Cruz, who arrested her father and brought him to the Manila Police District’s women’s and children’s protection desk.

The police report did not mention whether the woman’s mother and her firstborn are staying with her.
