Woman stabs secretary at dentist’s clinic

MANILA, Philippines - A woman attacked a dentist’s secretary in a clinic at a tertiary hospital in Quezon City yesterday morning.

Laura Cruz, 42, allegedly stabbed and injured Dionie Concepcion at the clinic of the latter’s boss yesterday at past 11 a.m.

Senior Inspector Maricar Taqueban said Cruz went to the clinic, looking for Angela Centeno.

The woman was supposedly a friend of the dentist’s husband. She went there looking for a job for her husband.

Taqueban said the dentist told her secretary to have the woman just leave behind her contact number.

However, the woman then asked if she could use the office phone. When the secretary agreed, the woman allegedly pulled out a knife from her belongings and attacked Cruz.

Hospital security staff apprehended the woman and turned her over to the custody of the police.
