Reinir Padua - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A physician lost valuables worth more than P100,000 to thieves who broke into his parked sport utility vehicle as he had dinner at a restaurant in Teacher’s Village West, Quezon City Sunday night.

Abraham Malala, 28, told police he lost a laptop worth P100,000 and other gadgets, a stethoscope and hospital documents, according to Superintendent Richard Fiesta, commander of the Quezon City Police District Station 9.

Malala said he parked the Ford Everest, registered under his father’s name, then went to a nearby restaurant to meet friends for dinner at around 8:15 p.m. When he returned more than an hour later, he found that the Everest’s side mirror was broken and some items were missing from the car.
