Lawyer’s wife, minister post bail on adultery raps
MANILA, Philippines - A 42-year-old woman and her religious group’s minister posted bail on adultery charges Thursday, three nights after they were caught by her husband reportedly having sex in a Pasig City motel.
Pasig Metropolitan Trial Court Executive Judge Eduardo Ramon Reyes set bail at P12,000 each for the woman, who is a housewife, and the minister, 50. The minister’s relatives posted bail for the two accused, who were released from the Eastern Police District (EPD) annex jail at around 4 p.m. Thursday.
The woman’s husband, a 51-year-old lawyer, hired detectives to monitor his wife. The husband, accompanied by a police officer and barangay officials, caught the woman and the minister naked in bed in the motel room.
The woman claimed she and the minister were only chatting and eating in the room, while the minister claimed his relationship with the woman is not “full-blown.”
