Massacre suspect seeks hospitalization anew

Janvic Mateo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A suspect in the Maguindanao massacre trial is asking the Quezon City court handling multiple murder case to allow him to be brought anew to a government hospital for a repeat ultrasound due to a painful genital cyst.

In a two-page urgent motion, lawyer Gennodin Nilong – representing suspect PO3 Alex Daquilos – asked Regional Trial Court Branch 221 Judge Jocelyn Solis-Reyes to allow him to be brought to the Rizal Medical Center in Pasig City.

Nilong cited the medical certificate issued by Bureau of Jail Management and Penology medical officer Jaime Claveria, who said the suspect needs to undergo a repeat ultrasound in the hospital.

If granted, this will be the third time that Daquilos will be brought out of his detention facility in Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City this year.
