200 MMDA enforcers deployed on night shift

Mike Frialde - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority assigned 200 enforcers to the night shift starting last night following the traffic jams along EDSA and C-5 Road at the height of a heavy downpour Thursday.

MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino said at least 200 traffic enforcers would be deployed per night on three shifts from 5 p.m. to midnight.

He clarified that Thursday night’s traffic jams were caused by ongoing roadwork such as the Skyway 3 project and the repair of the Magallanes interchange.
