Teen nabbed for leading rob gang

MANILA, Philippines - A 19-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night for allegedly leading a robbery gang in Manila, police said yesterday.

Ryan Jay Garcia, the reported leader of the Montemayor gang and one of the most wanted persons in Manila, was nabbed by the Philippine National Police’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Group along Recto Avenue at around 10 p.m.

Police officers served an arrest warrant, issued by Judge Ma. Celestina Manrobang of Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 38, for his gang’s alleged robbery and gun-for-hire operation.

Garcia was brought to the Moriones police station in Tondo pending a commitment order from Manrobang.

Police officers are still hunting four of his allged accomplices.
