MANILA, Philippines - A still unidentified man died yesterday afternoon shortly after he fell from the walkway of the Metro Rail Transit’s Boni Station in Mandaluyong City.

According to the Tactical Operations Center of the Mandaluyong police, the man – described to be between 30 and 40 years old – fell from the walkway of the northbound terminal at about 11:45 a.m.

The station guard noticed a man sitting on the edge of the walkway. The man lost his balance and fell just as the guard was about to approach and warn him, ABS-CBN reported.

The man, police said, fell on the northbound lane of EDSA and died on the spot from his injuries.

Police said no identification documents were found on the victim, who was wearing basketball shorts and a white t-shirt.

Investigators are still trying to determine if the incident is a case of suicide as the victim did not leave a suicide note.
