Munti waterways yield 240 trucks of trash

MANILA, Philippines - The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the Muntinlupa City government hauled at least 240 truckloads of garbage from the cityâ€™s waterways.

Among the areas covered by the cleanup drive are Sucat, Buli, and Cupangâ€™s Pasong Diablo, the city government said in a report.

Mayor Jaime Fresnedi appealed to barangay officials to clean up garbage thrown into the waterways to prevent the garbage from clogging up the drainage system.
