Man, 55, arrested for bullying boy

MANILA, Philippines - A 55-year-old man, who had reportedly been bullying children in his neighborhood in Caloocan City, was arrested Saturday afternoon for allegedly hitting a nine-year-old boy with a stone.

Mario Duque of Manotok Compound in Sta. Quiteria was charged with slight physical injury in relation to child abuse.

According to reports, Duque became angry at several children playing in front of his house at around 5 p.m. and hit one of them on the head with a stone.

The boy’s parents went to the barangay officials, who arrested the suspect.

Police investigators found that Duque was accused of beating up a 15-year-old boy last month for the same reason.
