1 killed, 1 hurt in Tondo shooting spree

MANILA, Philippines - A 33-year-old scavenger was killed while a five-year-old girl was wounded when an unidentified assailant went on a shooting spree in Tondo, Manila on Sunday.

Bonifacio Alcaraz, 33, was rushed to Gat Andres Bonifacio Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival due to several gunshot wounds. His remains were brought to Nathan Funeral Homes.

Jasmine Sarlego is recovering at the same hospital after a bullet hit her in the buttocks while she watched television at home.

Senior Police Officer 3 Rodelio Lingcong said the shooting spree happened at about 6 p.m. at Pier 18 along Road 10 in Vitas, Tondo.
