Man gunned down in QC

MANILA, Philippines - A 29-year-old man was gunned down by an unidentified assailant in Barangay Batasan Hills, Quezon City before dawn yesterday.

Edwin Molinas died from multiple gunshot wounds following the incident at the corner of Presidential street and San Mateo Road at around 5 a.m., said case investigator SPO1 Cristituto Zaldarriaga.

Initial investigation showed the victim was playing cara y cruz at a wake near a market in the area when the shooting happened.

Zaldarriaga said a witness was sleeping inside his nearby rented stall when he heard gunshots.

Police recovered from the scene six shells of a caliber .45 pistol.
