Car strafed in Manila

MANILA, Philippines - A sport utility vehicle was strafed in Manila yesterday afternoon.

Police officers are checking whether the occupants of the Kia Carnival (REC-289) were abducted or had fled during the attack at the corner of Leveriza street and Quirino Avenue in Malate before 4 p.m.

At least eight shells were found near the car, whose windshields were shattered and whose bumper bore several dents. The car’s tires were also flat – investigators are speculating whether the car’s occupants figured in a car chase.
