Alleged drug pusher nabbed in QC

MANILA, Philippines - An alleged drug pusher from Ilocos Norte was arrested at the Araneta Bus Terminal in Cubao, Quezon City Saturday morning after 10 years in hiding.

Alphy Marquez of Pagudpud has been charged for various violations of Republic Act 9165, the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and a warrant for his arrest was issued on March 30, 2004 by Bangui, Ilocos Norte Regional Trial Court Branch 19 Judge Jose Pilar, according to Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Region 1 chief Senior Superintendent Francisco Esguerra.

He added that Marquez is among the most wanted fugitives in Ilocos Norte. 

He was brought to the CIDG office at Camp Diego Silang in La Union yesterday before he is turned over to the court. No bail was recommended in his case.
