Drunk worker falls from roof onto fence

MANILA, Philippines - A drunk construction worker who slept on a school building’s rooftop fell onto a grill fence that pierced his legs and buttocks in Malabon City early yesterday morning.
Residents of Barangay Concepcion were awakened at around 1 a.m. when they heard a loud thud and screams from Edwin Sonita.
Rescuers said Sonita, 44, a stay-in worker at Arellano University, was wearing only his briefs and stuck on top of the grill fence when they arrived.
They used a hydraulic cutter to remove Sonita from the fence then rushed him to the Pagamutan ng Lungsod ng Malabon, where he is under observation.
