Chinese bites NAIA guard

Evelyn Macairan - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A Chinese woman remains detained at the Ninoy Aquino Interntional Airport Terminal 3 (NAIA) when she bit a female guard after she was denied entry into the country last Sunday.

Jiang Huixiang has been restricted to the Bureau of Immigration office at the NAIA after flying in from Beijing, BI spokesperson Ma. Angelica Pedro said yesterday.

According to reports, Jiang admitted that she had been illegally working in the Philippines. When she was refused entry, Jiang reportedly became “aggressive” and bit the arm of a guard who tried to restrain her.

BI contractual employee Rashid Rangiris then held Jiang’s face “but might have come on a bit strong,” Pedro said.

Even when she about to board a flight back to China, Jiang reportedly created a scene that forced the pilot to offload her from the airplane, Pedro said.
