MANILA, Philippines - At least 12 apartments were destroyed in a fire along A. Linao street in Malate, Manila yesterday.
The blaze reportedly started at the house of barangay councilor Erlinda Salonga at around 7:26 a.m. and quickly spread to neighboring apartments, officials said.
It reached Task Force Alpha, which means that all available fire trucks in Metro Manila are required to respond, before it was put out at around 9:30 a.m.
No one was hurt but the damages incurred were pegged at P3 million. The cause of fire has yet to be determined.
