PRC postpones CPA licensure exams
MANILA, Philippines - The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has ordered the indefinite postponement of the board licensure examination for certified public accountants supposed to be held next month.
The PRC issued a resolution indefinitely postponing the licensure examination, which was scheduled on May 11, 12, 18 and 19, upon the recommendation of the Board of Accountancy.
The PRC said the board, which is supposed to have seven members, has only two active members. The law mandates the attendance of four members of the board to constitute a quorum and officially transact business.
The PRC said the licensure examination is postponed until after the appointment of new members of the board.
