Janvic Mateo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A man believed to be another victim of summary execution was discovered in Payatas, Quezon City Friday night.

Police Officer 2 Jogene Hernandez said the man – described to be between 45 and 50 years old, 5’7” in height, and wearing a white t-shirt and denim pants – was found dead along Payatas Road near AMLAC Subdivision by barangay traffic aides following a report from a concerned citizen at around 8:30 p.m.

Hernandez said the man, who was found lying on his belly, had packaging tape looped around his face, which was also covered by a red plastic bag. He added that the victim’s hands and feet were tied with plastic cable strap and packaging tape, respectively.

The victim bore ligature marks around his neck, Hernandez said. The body was turned over to the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory Service for autopsy.
