MANILA, Philippines - Two Filipino-Chinese men were arrested for possession of five kilos of shabu, with a street value of P118 million, in Binondo, Manila yesterday.

Anthony Ang Chiu and John Chua Sy were reportedly caught smoking marijuana cigarettes outside a condominium building near the Manila Police District Station 1 at around 5:30 a.m., MPD director Chief Superintendent Rolando Asuncion said.

The suspects were carrying two trolley bags, which were found to contain five packs of shabu, said station commander Superintendent Raymund Liguden.

Sy was mum, while Chiu said he was unaware that the bags contained shabu. He added that it was also the first time he met Sy.

Chiu said he was promised P2,500 to accompany Sy to the airport.
