7th most wanted fugitive in Manila falls

MANILA, Philippines - A man identified as the seventh most wanted fugitive in Manila was arrested in Tondo Sunday.

Akiro Murata, 20, was wanted for several counts of robbery, acts of lasciviousness, direct assault against a person in authority, child abuse, and frustrated homicide, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Director Carmelo Valmora said.

NCRPO Regional Public Safety Battalion police officers, led by Senior Police Officer 2 Allan Lanado, spotted Murata in his house and served the warrants for his arrest. 

Murata was brought to the nearby barangay hall before he was turned over to the custody of the Manila courts handling the charges against him, Valmoria said.
