Work at Sandiganbayan suspended due to INC mission

Edu Punay - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Supreme Court (SC) yesterday ordered the suspension of work at the Sandiganbayan on March 28 in anticipation of traffic gridlocks due to an Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) mission along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City.

SC spokesman Theodore Te said Chief Justice Ma. Lourdes Sereno issued the order upon request of Sandiganbayan Presiding Justice Amparo Cabotaje-Tang.

Tang, in her letter to the SC, explained that the INC’s evangelical mission called “Lingap Pamamahayag,” to be held along the eastbound portion of Commonwealth Avenue from the Sandiganbayan area to Litex from midnight to 6 p.m. is expected to cause “heavy traffic on said date.”

Te said Sereno approved the request given there would be a “maintenance of a skeletal workforce.”
