MANILA, Philippines - A former basketball player was arrested by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency during a drug bust at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig yesterday.
Agents seized a stash of the party drug “ecstasy†from the former cager, said PDEA spokesman Derrick Arnold Carreon.
The former basketball player was named only through an alias, “Rey,†because of an ongoing follow-up operation.
According to Carreon, the former cager was arrested during a buy-bust at the BGC parking grounds at around 2 a.m.
Agents seized from the suspect 30 capsules of ecstasy and a bottle containing what is believed to be the liquid variant of the same party drug.
Agents also impounded the suspect’s red Ford Mustang.
