MANILA, Philippines - The body of a man believed to be a victim of summary execution was found stuffed in a sack in Tandang Sora, Quezon City early yesterday morning.
Chief Inspector Rodel Marcelo, head of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of the Quezon City Police District, said the victim bore ligature marks around his neck.
Marcelo said a nylon rope was tied around the victim's neck when his body was discovered at around 5 a.m.
Police have yet to identify the man described to be in his late 40s.
The victim bore “Sputnik†tattoos, police said.
Residents informed barangay officials when a sack containing the body was dumped in the area.
