Malaysian loses money to pickpockets

Aie Balagtas See - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A Malaysian lost P5,000 to four pickpockets as he was riding a passenger jeepney in Mabini, Manila yesterday.

Alvin Wang told investigators at the Manila Police District’s General Assignment Section that the money was in his bag at around 11 a.m. when “one of the men told me I have bloodstains on my shirt, so I checked it.”

He said the men tried to help him check the stain. Little did he know that one of them was stealing from his bag.

Aside from money, Wang also lost his passport and cell phone. He said he only found about the theft after he alighted from the jeep.
