MANILA, Philippines - The Makati City police are hunting down another suspect in the murder of fashion designer Kenneth Chua after the arrest of Chua’s former employee.
Rogelio Aquiat, a master cutter who resigned from Chua’s shop last December, was arrested Wednesday after surveillance footage showed him and another man – identified only as Adjang – withdrawing money using Chua’s automated teller machine card, city police chief Senior Superintendent Manuel Lukban said.
Chua bore at least five stab wounds in the body, his face bruised and his neck slashed, when his body was found by his parents in the bathroom of his atelier in Palanan last Tuesday.
According to Lukban, Chua was stabbed when he tried to fight off his attackers. He said they are hunting down Adjang, believed to be the owner of the knife used to kill Chua.
