Binay vows to save OFW from Saudi death row

MANILA, Philippines - Vice President Jejomar Binay yesterday vowed to continue raising the “blood money†for overseas Filipino worker (OFW) Joselito Zapanta who is facing death in Saudi Arabia.
“It is my responsibility to care for the welfare of our OFWs. There is no politics here. This is my duty,†Binay said.
“Our government will do its utmost to save him from execution,†he added.
Binay is the presidential adviser on OFW concerns.
Zapanta was sentenced to death for killing a Sudanese.
