Fire hits BGC building

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines -A fire broke out at a condominium still under construction in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig Tuesday afternoon.

Safety investigators found that flames were coming from the bottom of the garbage chute of Fort Victoria’s 25-story Tower B at around 5 p.m.

Fort Victoria has three towers.

The fire was put out within 45 minutes due to the building’s sprinkler system and by firefighters from Makati and Taguig, said Wilfredo Ayson, vice chairman of the developer New San Jose Builders Inc., in a statement sent to The STAR.

Fort Victoria is in the final stages of completion and occupancy. “The tower is still unoccupied and none were hurt,” he said.
