Maid, partner confess to killing boss’ grandpa

MANILA, Philippines - A maid and her partner confessed yesterday to killing her employer’s 71-year-old grandfather, claiming the victim had been molesting her, in Valenzuela City.

Danica Ann Gonzales, 29, earlier reported discovering the body of Antonio Rodriguez in his canteen shortly before 10 a.m. Wednesday. His throat had been slit, Valenzuela police chief Senior Superintendent Rhoderick Armamento said.

She initially claimed she went to the canteen to bring food to Rodriguez. She told her employers, who sought police assistance.

Gonzales later admitted that it was her partner, Alexander Turmon, who killed Rodriguez after she told him the victim had been molesting her, Armamento told The STAR. Turmon, 32, works as a helper at a junk shop nearby.

Armamento said the lovers pointed at each other as the mastermind.

“Apparently the old man, according to Gonzales, had this bad habit of molesting younger women,” he said.

Gonzales and Turmon were charged with murder yesterday.
