Mandaluyong teachers’ allowances to continue

Non Alquitran - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Mandaluyong Mayor Benjamin Abalos Jr. assured teachers yesterday that they will continue to receive their allowances, amounting to at least P12,000, from the city government.

The teachers’ benefits and allowances were among the concerns addressed by Abalos during his State of the City Address (SOCA) yesterday at the Mandaluyong gym.

Talk had it that the teachers’ benefits and allowances would be removed this year because of budget constraints.

“We will see to it that these allowances and other benefits for teachers would not be removed. Don’t worry and just do your jobs,” Abalos assured the teachers.
