Suspect in grenade-throwing incident nabbed in Pasay

MANILA, Philippines - Police arrested yesterday a suspect in the grenade-throwing incident in Pasay City last month.

Nabbed was Rejesus Apaap Jr. alias “Undong,”18, of 210 Road 7, Pildera 2 Barangay 194, Zone 20 in Pasay.

Apaap has been identified as one of two men who hurled a grenade at the Jam Travel agency along Apollo street on Jan. 30, said city police chief Senior Superintendent Florencio Ortilla.

Ortilla said that based on a CCTV footage, one of the suspects smashed the glass door of the travel agency before throwing the grenade inside.

Police said the travel agency was closed when the explosion happened.

Charges of illegal possession of explosives and damage to property will be filed against Apaap.
