Traffic rerouted for Shell eco-marathon

The Philippine Star

CEBU, Philippines - Amid complaints over traffic jams, Shell advised motorists that traffic along Roxas Boulevard between T.M. Kalaw and P. Burgos in Manila will be rerouted as the Shell Eco-marathon Asia is staged from Feb. 6 to 9 in Rizal Park.

Until Feb. 12, southbound motorists or those going to Pasay from Bonifacio Drive should turn left on P. Burgos street, right on Ma. Orosa, right on T.M. Kalaw, and left to reach Roxas Boulevard.

From Feb. 10 to 12, from midnight to 4 a.m., those northbound along Roxas Boulevard going to Intramuros or Port Area should turn right on T.M. Kalaw, left on Ma. Orosa, left on P. Bugos, and right to reach Bonifacio Drive.

The eco-marathon brings together engineering students from across the region in developing futuristic vehicles that run on alternative sources of energy and that excel in terms of fuel efficiency and smarter mobility. This is the first time the Philippines is hosting this event.
