Ex-Army personnel hit by carjackers

MANILA, Philippines - A former member of the military lost her vehicle to armed men who threatened her with a gun in Quezon City Monday afternoon.
Helen Igne, 45, who had retired from the Philippine Army, reported to the police the carjacking of her black Mitsubishi Strada pick-up (RLY 330) in Barangay Sacred Heart.
Igne told police she was inside her Strada, parked along Scout Fuentebella street, waiting to fetch her child.
At past 1 p.m., the window of her vehicle was half-open when she was approached by the robbers, who took her vehicle at gunpoint and drove away.
