MANILA, Philippines - A man accused of being a hired killer was arrested after he was flagged down for driving a motorcycle with improperly attached license plates in Barangay Roxas, Quezon City Tuesday afternoon.
Dexter Servantez, 23, of Barangay Malanday, Marikina City, was caught carrying a bag of bullets when he was frisked, said Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Chief Superintendent Richard Albano.
He said they believe the suspect is a gun-for-hire. “Our investigators have dug up criminal cases against him in Pasay, Marikina, among others,†Albano said.
Police officers from QCPD Station 10 were manning a checkpoint when they spotted Servantez riding a motorcycle with improperly attached plates and without wearing a helmet, he said.
According to Albano, the suspect had also been tagged in car theft cases.
