MANILA, Philippines - A man accused of killing a widow and stabbing her three children in Caloocan City in 2012 was arrested Friday.

Mark Jay Lorgonio, 29, was apprehended after a month-long surveillance by police officers led by Inspector Edgardo Adora.

Investigators said Lorgonio; Ivan Lou Climaco, 28, and two others barged into the house of Anna Aguilo, 46, at dawn on Feb. 6, 2012 and repeatedly stabbed her and her three children – Justine Ann, 15; Arvin John, 13; and Alfer John, 11.

Climaco was arrested the next day while waiting for a ride in Quezon City but Lorgonio and two others escaped.

Climaco reportedly became angry at the widow for repeatedly telling him to pay the debts he incurred from playing on “video karera” machines.
