UP grad tops licensure exam for architects

MANILA, Philippines - A graduate of the University of the Philippines (UP) in Diliman topped the licensure examination for architects, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Friday.

With a score of 87.20 percent, Anna Katrina Karaan led the almost 800 examinees who passed the licensure examination, followed by University of San Agustin graduate Katherine Rose Castronuevo in second place with a score of 84.30 percent.

PRC said only 793 passed out of the 1,442 examinees who took the licensure examination held in Manila. (See full list on philstar.com)

Another UP-Diliman graduate, Elise Sophia Francisco, ranked third with a score of 84.20 percent while University of Santo Tomas (UST) graduate Khimberlyn Soriano captured the fourth spot with a score of 84.10 percent.

Scoring 83.90 percent, another UST graduate, Rodney Aaron Zheng, placed fifth while fellow UST graduate Jepram Rey Villafranca and UP-Diliman graduate Aldrin Cuarto  shared the sixth slot as both obtained a score of 83.80 percent.

University of Northeastern Philippines Marlon dela Cruz and Cebu Institute of Technology graduate Marnie Gutib also shared the seventh place with a score of 83.70 percent, followed by another CIT graduate, Daniel Christopher Pastor, in eighth place with a score of 83.60 percent.

Ninth placers were UP graduates Keith Ann Aquino and Carl Dominique delos Reyes, who both scored 83.40 percent. Another University of Northeastern Philippines graduate, Gerald Abalos, took the 10th spot with a score of 83.30 percent.
