Gov’t workers’ drug den found in Intramuros

MANILA, Philippines - Police officers raided yesterday a drug den allegedly used by some government employees in Intramuros, Manila.

The house on Legaspi street is owned and maintained by couple Emmanuel and Madeline Navarro, said Manila Police District Station 5 chief Superintendent Alex Yanquiling.

Emmanuel confessed that Department of Education and Commission on Elections employees are among their customers, he said.

Yanquiling said they received information that at the house, users could buy and consume drugs.

Sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia were seized from the couple.
