2 burglars hit Pasig appliance store

MANILA, Philippines - Two burglars broke into an appliance store in Pasig City and carted away television sets worth P100,000, police said yesterday.

Anna Marie Turingan, 34, officer-in-charge of the Shop and Save Home Plus located along Market Avenue in Barangay Palatiw, and her fellow employees discovered the robbery  at 8 a.m.

They found the roll-up iron door partly opened and the padlock was missing, police said.

The suspects took five LED television sets and two DVD players, said PO3 Melvin Mendoza.

Mendoza said residents in the area saw two men going in and out of the store at around 3 a.m.
