2 nabbed for Taguig shooting

MANILA, Philippines - Two alleged accomplices of the man who shot dead three persons on New Year’s Eve in Barangay Pinagsama, Taguig City have been arrested, police said yesterday.

Rocilo delos Reyes and Amile Maguiling have been charged with three counts of murder before the Taguig prosecutor’s office, Southern Police District (SPD) spokesperson Superintendent Jenny Tecson said.

The alleged gunman, identified as retired Army sergeant Diosdado Bacatan, remains at large and is the subject of a police manhunt.

The SPD said Bacatan allegedly shot Inner Port Water Distributor employees Tyrol Mortos, Enrique Goco and Ronald Mabonga at around 9 a.m. on Dec. 31, 2013 after they informed him that they would be cutting off his water supply over unpaid water bills.
