MANILA, Philippines - A bus conductor was found dead at a terminal in Valenzuela City Friday afternoon.

Roldan de Villa, 42, was discovered dead at a waiting shed near a bus terminal in Malinta at around 2:30 p.m., said Valenzuela City police station chief Superintendent Rhoderick Armamento in a report.

Initial investigation showed that De Villa arrived at the area via a passenger jeepney driven by Rodel Gamas.

Armamento said Gamas even helped the conductor, who had fallen asleep, alight from the jeepney when they arrived at the terminal.

A few minutes later, Gamas discovered De Villa slumped at a waiting shed, prompting him to seek help from the city’s rescue team.

The police officer said the rescue team confirmed that De Villa was dead.

A cursory examination of his body showed that De Villa did not sustain any external injury.
