MANILA, Philippines - Las Piñas City Mayor Vergel Aguilar yesterday assured the public that taxpayers’ money are prudently spent and given back to them through sustained social services and development projects.
Aguilar made the statement as he urged property owners to pay their taxes early to avail themselves of discounts.
Around 95,000 residential and commercial lots are registered in the city.
Aguilar said the city has the lowest income compared to other cities in Metro Manila.
In spite of its meager income, the city provides free daycare, high school and college education as well as free hospitalization.
