Body found near Mandaluyong condo
MANILA, Philippines - The body of an unidentified man, believed to have been summarily executed, was found near a condominium in Mandaluyong City yesterday.
The victim’s body bore signs of torture and he could have been shot where he was found – near a residential building at the corner of Pines and Sheridan streets in Barangay Highway Hills – at past 4 p.m., Police Officer 2 Donald Bañez said.
The victim’s head was covered with a plastic bag secured with masking tape and lengths of electrical wire was tied around his neck and bound his hands, Bañez said.
He added that the victim was shot in the head. A bullet shell was recovered nearby.
Bañez said a piece of cardboard recovered near the victim’s body bore a message identifying the man as a rapist and a robber.
He described the victim as a 5’3†tall man of medium build, clad in a pink shirt and denim pants.
